  Bruce Rosen

  Psychiatrist

  Dr. Bruce Rosen is Board Certified in Psychiatry. Dr Rosen has been a leader in the field of psychiatry. He has been a teacher, administrator and clinician. He has been selected as One of the Top Doctors in the New York Metropolitan Area for sixteen straight years. Dr Rosen attended the Loyola-Stritch School of Medicine. He did he psychiatric training at North Shore L.I.J. Medical Center followed by a Fellowship at North Shore LIJ. Dr. Rosen has been Director of Psychiatry at St John's Episcopal and St. Catherine of Siena Medical Centers for over 25 years until recently giving that position up to enter into full-time office practice. Dr. Rosen is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Stony Brook University where he was awarded Outstanding Teacher of the Year. He is past President of the Suffolk County Psychiatric Society. He is a Member of the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacologists. Dr. Rosen was recently named Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Rosen has given lectures in various psychiatric topics to other physicians, psychiatrists and mental health professionals. His passion has always been treating patients. Areas of interest are Anxiety and Mood Disorders, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, and crisis intervention, Dr. Rosen is a Master Psychopharmacologist.

  Robert Castroll

  Psychiatrist

  Dr. Castroll received his BA from Rice University, his MA from the University of Texas, and his MD degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Nassau County Medical Center and a residency in Psychiatry at the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he served as Chief Resident. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Stony Brook where he supervises residents. His major interest is the psychopharmacology treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, including PTSD, schizophrenia, and addictive disorders. He has 30 years of experience in the practice of both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. Dr Castroll is board certified in psychiatry and is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

  Shelley Epstein

  Psychiatrist

  Dr. Epstein is board certified in general psychiatry. Dr Epstein received her psychiatric training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center/New York State Psychiatric Institute, after graduating from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Princeton University. She is currently the Director of Psychiatry at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, Smithtown, and has been working in both inpatient and outpatient settings since joining North Shore Psychiatric Consultants in 1992. Dr. Epstein holds added qualifications in geriatric psychiatry, serves as the Director of the new Electroconvulsive Therapy Program at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, and participates in the North Shore Psychiatric Consultants Buprenorphine Addiction Program. Dr. Epstein is proud to work in a practice in which our patient’s needs truly come first.

  Suzanne Tuzel

  Psychiatrist

  Dr Tuzel is board certified in psychiatry with additional board certification in addiction psychiatry. Dr Tuzel attended Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in biology, before transferring to the University of Istanbul, Istanbul Medical Faculty where she received her medical degree. Her residency training included - Bergen Regional Medical Center, Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, Stony Brook University Hospital, and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center/ NY State Psychiatric Institute, and completion of an addiction fellowship at North Shore University Hospital. Prior to joining North Shore Psychiatric Consultants in 2002, she has held numerous administrative duties including Associate Clinical Director, Downstate Medical Director of the PMHP Program and Chief of Psychiatry at PIlgrim Psychiatric Center. Since 2006, she is the Medical Director of the Huntington Drug and Alcohol Counseling Center. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and the Turkish American Medical Association. Additionally, she holds privileges as an Adjunct Staff member at North Shore University Hospital. Dr Tuzel is an experienced psychiatrist in psychopharmacologic treatment and a dedicated physician, coming from a family of physicians and nurses.
